About Us

Who is HGL?

Your homeschool journey starts with a strong community! Homegrown Lilacs was founded in 2020 by a group of local parents who had a desire to just do better than the “system”. We value the freedom to homeschool our children and bring them together in an environment that helps guide them through the most important years of their development. Social interaction, an engaging environment of diverse age groups, enrichment education, communication growth, and community are at the core of our priorities. We are not a school and we are not a supplement to core curriculum being taught at home. We are a group of active, likeminded, and involved homeschool families who come together each week to enjoy enrichment workshops, educational class topics, field trips, events, social opportunities, and more.

Curriculum & Classes

We believe that every person who enters our doors has a calling that will change the world. We believe in good decisions, good habits, good character, respect, and freedom. As homeschool parents, we understand the need and desire to teach life skills, critical thinking, independent thought, creativeness, socialization, and communication. We have customized a learning environment to help promote these important concepts and support students in finding what inspires them so that they may grow their seeds of potential.

As we work to prepare our students for the future, HGL focuses on courses in Entrepreneurship, Careers & Trades, Life Skills, Leadership, and more.

When are classes held?

Students meet for educational enrichment classes and workshops one day each week. Families register their students for one specified day, either Tuesdays or Thursdays. Co-Op classes and workshops are held from 12:30pm-3pm on these days. Additional add-on classes are available prior to co-op classes each week. In addition to these classes, HGL offers Fun Fridays! Parents must stay, HGL is not a drop off. Check our our Programs Page for more details!

Our Community

We know that learning is easier when you have a strong supportive community. As a group, we lead by example, we communicate openly, we enable and inspire, and we collaborate. We are a true cooperative helping inspire the leaders of the future.
